Wanted: Used vehicle (formerly ICE converted to EV)
Item: Open to any converted and registered EV, but preferably something small and light-weight.
Location: Anywhere in Australia.
Item Condition: Used
Extra Info:
Hey,
I’ve been looking for an EV for some time now and thought I would post here.
something preferably that used to be ICE, but has been converted.
This may be something I do-up slowly, to be taken to motorkhana and hillclimb events, as well as drive on the road 1-2 days a week. Or could be something complete and ready to go.
My range requirements are low at approximately 50kms.
I’m willing to wait for the right vehicle, but also could take something(running) and modify it to suit.
If anyone knows of any vehicles out there that may suit my requirements please let me know.
Thanks,
Ross.

Hi there - can vouch for that one - did a few repairs on it early last year for them. Is a good car. Has done a fair few k's since I last saw it though!
Cheers

Thanks for the info guys! The Getz is definitely an option, looks nice but perhaps a pricey starting point when I'm going to end up ripping a lot of it out and upgrading. I will send some them some questions though!
Bryce - Do you do EV specific repairs? cheers.

There's a converted Toyota Rav4 in Perth with a blown controller. It just needs a decent DC motor controller and it's good to go. Daniel at EV Shop Balcatta converted it, and it's a solid car.
I'll try and get some more information.

Interested in the Rav4

I shouldn't be (according to my wife) but I'm also a little bit interested in the rav4

Call Daniel at EFI Autos (EV Shop) on 08 92402331 for more information. Its an older RAV4, and I think it might be a 2-seater, but do check.

Hi,
I have (sadly) decided to sell my converted Lancer.
Please see - EV Album #3763 for the story of it's creation and details.
it is still going well and can still do more than about 80km on a full charge.
I was thinking of asking about $10k because of the original conversion cost plus add-ons such as aircon, dig radio and central locking, and so does not need any further work to be immediately drive-able. Though there are always improvements that one would like to make!
Cheers Jason

Re: Wanted: Used vehicle (formerly ICE converted to EV)
This was one of the tidiest conversions I've ever seen. It looks great!

Re: Wanted: Used vehicle (formerly ICE converted to EV)
Thanks guys, but I've been messaging back-and-forth on Gumtree, and have just purchased the Electric G100 Diahatsu Charade mentioned up top. Even though it is humble beginnings, Im excited to finally be an EV owner after years of being unable to get them out of my head!
Looking forward to driving around town and slowly modifying it. We're also in the process of going completely off-grid with our new house, so the Charade will be powered by the Sun

Re: Wanted: Used vehicle (formerly ICE converted to EV)
Just curious if anyone here bought the Blade Electron. I drive one ... a very early model with 20000 km ... and have two more I'm about to get on the road and probably sell ... one of which only has 800kms on the clock! These are a piece of Australian EV history and, while they are range limited, are still an excellent runabout. Randall
