Datsun 1200 Ute

Expressions of Interest

Item: 1981 Datsun 1200 Ute Electric Conversion
Location: Camp Hill Brisbane
Item Condition: Good condition

Price: Negotiable

Extra Info: 166volt, 120ah (40 cells) from Nissan leaf with Batrium management system. 100amp Netgain Warp Drive water-cooled controller and transwarp 9 DC motor. Range approx 80ks. Direct drive so extremely quick off the mark. Open to expressions of interest as difficult to put a price on. I've had many offers for the car from Datsun Ute enthusiasts but I'd prefer to sell as an electric car rather than break it up. More than happy to answer questions and listen to offers. Will be at the AEVA Brsbane meeting on the 19th for anyone that wants to have a closer look

Hi Mate,

Really interesting car, looks like it would've been a good project. I'm looking at trying to get a single Nissan Leaf battery module to experiment with, and am also based in Brisbane. I was wondering if you happened to have a spare module lying around which you don't need, would be happy to purchase it from you with pickup in Brisbane. If not I was wondering where you sourced your batteries from?

Cheers

I got to see this in the workshop when the build was nearly done - snapped a few photos as I was really impressed with the build. It would be a hoot to drive I'm sure.

Hi Mate,

Is this still for sale?

Do you have any pics of under-side of the car?

Is it fitted with original brakes, or have they been upgraded?

Cheers,
Ross.
