$20k driveaway 2010/2011 i-MiEVs at Paceway Mitsu

special deal for Perth AEVA members.
Craig Jackson (0408 229 620) will be putting 2010/11 ex-lease i-MiEVs
2 officially at a time on Carsales, but any member can reserve one from a stock of 20 coming in.
they will be a mixture of 2010/11s

might be a business opportunity for EV Works / EV power to install the wiring harness that would make a 2010 imiev J1772 pilot signal compatible.

http://gelcoservices.com.au/gelco_products.htm

will be interesting to see how many 2010s have this upgrade
Eddie/Simon's 2010 imiev is the only one I've seen so far in Perth with this upgrade.
also will be interesting to see how many 2010s are able to have their battery status read.

currently
a) Eddie/Simon
b) Craig C
imievs work
but

i) Ant D
ii) Philip & Jill's
didn't
it was weird how Philip's imiev was manufactured after Eddie/Simon's and possibly Craigs.

Looks like there are already another 2 for sale in SA as well.

Have been told by various folk at Mitsubishi (usually whilst hanging around the Fast Charger) that there are up to 80 of these ex-lease vehicles to be sold.

There was talk at one point that they were being refurbed and would come with a 5 year battery warranty - be interesting to see if that happened.

The 2 differences that swayed me buy a "new" MY12 last year over the MY10 model were 6 airbags over only 2 and 9.8 amp charging (MY12) allowing emergency GPO charging with an adapter, vs 13.5amp (MY10) which always requires a 15 amp outlet.

The Gelco upgrade so that the J1772 protocol can be used can be done through Electric Autos in Perth for any WA folks, and Bob would do it for any SA folks in Adelaide. I'm sure these cars will disappear fairly quickly Image

Adelaide-ev has the inside info. Yes there are 70 ex lease according to Craig. 20 coming to wa.

Chris,
How much does electric autos charge for the upgrade and is it Mitsubishi sanctioned?

Train derailment has caused delays in the arrival of the imievs at paceway

Hi Joseph,

You would have to ask Patrick, but Bob tells me it's about a 2 hour procedure and it would be easiest if done on a hoist. Most mechanical labour is charged out at $100 an hour, so it would be some arithmetic product of these values.

not so good news.

The 2011 10A Mitsu EVSE that comes with the car didn't charge the 2010 imiev
neither did the evseupgrade 15A unit.
Didn't bother trying e-station's box, but perhaps I should?
Also didn't try Holden 10A EVSE.

the Batman OBDC dongle worked
batt pack seems balanced

my concern is the Range
4600/55.5 = 82.88288288288288 km
perhaps it had been driven hard during the test in a test drive.
hence the RAC saying that the imiev has an 80 km range.

I wish that they would qualify that statement with 2010 imiev.
I shall send them an email.

So the 2010's will charge with blue Mennekes cable without the J1772 pilot fitted???. That I-Miev pictured at WAN is one number off mine on the rego.

I believe you need to contact UWA for tokens to use the Electrobays???.....where can I do that???

I'm still amazed that the 2010 imiev charged at wan
I guess we shall see if your better place cable and 2010 will charge at other locations

Cos the 2010 I tested last year with the uwa cable did not work

Perhaps the better place cables are different.

maybe measure the resistance between the control signal pin and ground on the mennekes end of the cable. it will either be not connected or 882 ohms or 2.74kohms.
