Finally have a BEV. to compliment the PHEV.

now to learn the intricacies of this awesome little machine.   
First, found out you cannot charge it with the standard PHEV EVSE, this is the 2010 model, so the charge cable doesnt not have the brick in it.

We can charge our 2010 with the 2012 EVSE but not vice versa. I think it has had a mod done though, which was needed to allow it to use public chargers.

yeah, it needs a mod done, i tested it by trying to charge with our podpoint charger,   didnt work.    the mod involves the replacement of the cabling from the charge plug on the car side, and sending it off to be modded.

Mod is very easy. Getting the pin for the socket is harder..... Image

ordered a pre modified replacement plug,    just waiting for it to arrive now..
