Tesla "Model E" could debut in January 2015

Tesla Model E could arrive in January 2015, even earlier than expected

Personally, I've been looking forward to this since Elon Musk laid out his "3-step plan" for Tesla a few years back. Sadly, it doesn't appear that that plan has been adhered to (with the "cheap" car being the 4th model instead of the 3rd as planned), but I'm sure they have their reasons.

Or maybe not. Possibly after you read the article, there is this update:

UPDATE: Tesla Communications' Patrick Jones emailed AutoblogGreen to say that Von Holzhausen's interview wasn't quite accurate. He said, "I just want to clarify the timeline has not changed and to say that the vehicle will definitively arrive in 2015 is not accurate. ... We have not confirmed an unveiling at Detroit Auto Show 2015 and the timeline for a consumer roll out has not changed."

I saw the update, yeah. I'm just happy that there's a timeline that we'll be seeing SOMETHING about the Model E/Blue Star. It was supposed to be Tesla's 3rd car, but the Model X sort of got slotted in before it.
