Seriously, any AEVA members who are out of work right now in Sydney should absolutely get on the Tesla team. We can help them sell cars like nothing else!

Wow, that's not too bad considering the build quality of the Tesla.
I'll start putting away more super now...

Very interesting.. Still way above the average car buyer's price range - which includes me Image - but their quality and performance puts them in competition with BMWs and Mercedes, so they could sell pretty well.

If I were rich (and less sentimentally attached to my electric RX7), I'd definitely be keen. Can't wait to start seeing them on Australian roads.

I didn't go for many options just to keep the cost down. White with black leather seats and piano black interior. Dual charger.

Three years ago I made a promise to myself that my next car would be EV and this is it. I was thinking about a Leaf but the battery issues in hot climates was an issue for me.

It's a real buzz and I can't wait to get the car.

The Tesla model S is a game changer.

Just incredible engineering and tech in a beautiful design.

I can only dream what they can come up with in 10 years time with the advances made in such short time.

JFK please keep us up to date with your purchase!!!.

Now my next question will be where will be the first supercharger in Perth??

I doubt there will be one in Perth it seems that tesla pick sites outside of metro areas, there doesn't appear to be a supercharger in any major US city except LA and Las vegas.

I would actually be surprised if WA got any superchargers. at least not in the first round, I would expect Tesla to start on joining a capital city Sydney to Brisbane or Sydney to Melbourne. or Melbourne to Adelaide.

It fits in my garage with 1.5m to spare. I'm a sandgroper and live in Mt Lawley but moving up to Stoneville next year. Hoping to have an off-grid PV system but not sure how it will cope with the Tesla. The property has a creek so I'm thinking about a micro-hydro system for backup in winter. The creek flows for 6 months. I don't do more than 50km a day at the moment but that will increase to about 80km when I move.

I want to be totally autonomous and that includes my own water supply and a large part of my food consumption. It will be great not to visit a service station ever again, no Synergy power bills and no Water Corp bills.

choice of dual charger was probably a waste if your off grid you don't want to be pulling 80amps through your inverter to charger the car. but when you go into town and use those electrobay ones you'll be able to use the full 32amp 3phase.

I wonder if the onboard Tesla chargers can take DC directly

All my chargers can take DC, as long as it's above 100VDC for most stuff, and above 280VDC for everything else

If your PV system voltage is high enough, you may not need an inverter for the majority of stuff, including charging EV's

WA will have the first Electric Highway. We've been making some great progress with the State Government, so with a bit of luck in 6 months time some shovels will be a-turning Image

Better get that ChaDeMo connector for the Tesla John Image

Top News.
If the cost of a grid interactive smart charger was viable you could go out and collect ernergy and off load it when you get home. 85kWh would leave more than 60kWh to play with if there was a free super charger from tesla with in 100km.

Hope the wait isn't too agonising.
