Electric Boating Presentation Evening

For all those interested in electric boating there will be a presentation evening which will be held in the city next Tuesday evening. All are welcome so bring your colleagues family and friends.
The meeting is being put on by the Alternative Technology Association (ATA) who are the publishers of "ReNew" magazine.

Unfortunately one of the presenters on the night (Charles Fitzhardinge)is unable to make it now due to other commitments so I have been asked to step into Charles's shoes as the technical presenter on the night.

Full details of the evening and venue are below so we hope to see anyone in Sydney who would like to attend on Tuesday night.

"Our first Sydney Central ATA meeting of the year, at 6pm -8pm on Tuesday 9th February, will be at the Wallaby Room, 11th Floor of the Telstra Building, 320 Pitt St Sydney.

The topic is ‘Electric Boats – Green alternative on the Water” and this will be jointly presented by Steven Mullie and Charles Fitzhardinge.

Steven and Charles will give an update on electric boats, current technology and electric boat applications for private and commercial/government use, plus global developments in electric boating. They will cover topics such as the performance, various drive systems (inboard, outboard, pod) and provide an overview of batteries, controllers and charging systems.

Steven and Charles are founding members of the Electric Boat Association of Australia, and both are active in the industry - Steven runs Eco Boats on Sydney’s Middle Harbour, and Charles was a consulting engineer and a founder of Solarboat Pty Ltd.

No need to register, just come along and bring friends and potential new members. Look forward to seeing you soon!"

What a bummer that it happens to be on the same evening as the branch meeting. I am sure the ATA were unaware of this when they booked the venue.

I just spoke to the organizer of the evening from the ATA. They don't have any objection to the night being videotaped. The only condition is that no-one in attendence has any objection to this.

I don't think there will be any problem so please bring your camera along so AEVA members in other states have the opportunity watching the presentation also.
