The City of Canning have been magnificent in letting us host the event at the Canning River Eco Education Centre, otherwise known as Wilson Park or the Kent Street Weir.
Attendance at the event is free, but if you want to sign up for test-drives (which is what Electrikhana is ALL ABOUT) then you will need to go to www.electrikhana.org/WA and click on the bookings link. Test-drives are $5 per person - all drivers must be licensed. Not all vehicles will be on offer for test drives - some folks are happy to take passengers, others are happy for you to drive. Just don't pester them if they say no
When the booking system goes live you will be prompted to fill out, print and sign an indemnity form reminding you that if you crash someone's car, you promise not to sue the AEVA and agree to pay the excess on the poor person's car. The vehicles will be parallel parked like an airport pick-up drop off at the turning circle: As always, we are calling for volunteers to help on the day - We would love for EV owners to offer up their vehicles for test drives, but also for people to park up their EVs for static display. You will spend most of your day talking to people
The driving routes are as follows: All roads are 50 km/h. So be safe!
See you on March 9th!
P.S. We will also be needing help on the weekend before at the Hyde Park fair - it's a major opportunity to promote the event. Static displays of vehicles only, and lots of talking
