Plug/socket adapter from Type 1 or 2 for 15 amp plug

Post by T1 Terry »

My Prius battery upgrade has a 15 amp plug in, but I can't seem to find any charging points that actually have a 10 amp or 15 amp outlet. Is there an adaptor cable that I can buy to fit the range of charging stations sockets out and about?

Yes, Adelaide has installed level 2 charging points in a number of parking stations. I know there is an adapter lead that goes from a type 2 to a type 1 socket, but is there anything that would go from a type 1 or type 2 charging outlet to a 3 pin 15 amp plug to fit my car's 3 pin 15 amp socket? Are Tesla plug either a type one or type 2 or something different yet again?
