Importing Batteries from USA

Post by tidalev » Tue, 29 May 2018, 14:53

Has anyone had any experience with importing batteries/cells for ev conversions from the US they can share? There are some cheap options over there ATM but I'm struggling to find a good cost effective method to get them to WA

Graeme @suziauto has been importing Leaf cells for a while now, and I think he was looking at Tesla modules too.

Yeah I did try as there was leaf cells I wanted.
It really wasn't economical doing it myself.
I ended up going through Suziauto.

I believe that is because there are only small amount available at any given time and not from the same supplier.
Nowhere in the amounts that would be worth while to import in bulk.

Suziauto has his own range of batteries as an alternative to leaf cells.
