BMW Australia cancels future EVs to Oz

Given how expensive BMW EVs are in Oz I doubt they are selling many:

“Electric vehicle champion BMW has no plans to import any new EV models beyond the freshly-launched i3s until the federal government provides support for the take-up for the technology”

This is echoed by Nissan and Renault. I have not seen anything from Hyundai indicating whether they will halt import.

Nissan and Renault are planning to import new models this year. I looked for public announcements from either company and could not find anything about halting future sales?

It's not really fair that their decision to boycott is based on a demand from government. Government doesn't care.
