EVSE electrician?

Post by sez » Fri, 04 Sep 2015, 15:48

Hi All,

Anyone have recommendations for electricians in Brisbane who know what an EVSE is?

The first lot of electricians I rang said "No, we're not auto electricians!" When I explained that it was basically a giant wall socket and not something on the actual car they agreed to come out and have a look.

Sigh.

Thanks to Les, Brisbane AEVA president we've acquired a new Keba EVSE to replace our dead Origin Energy supplied Charge Point CT-500 unit.

Now we need a sparky to install it!

It'd be good if the sparky also had some experience with data as we may need to get some data wiring done too.

Thanks!

EVSE electrician?

I used Fallon Solutions last time. http://www.fallonsolutions.com.au

I told them I wanted a wall charger installed and they said OK. But maybe the person answering my call didn't know what it was. I gave the instruction book to the electrician when they arrived and they installed it (I didn't ask for the ethernet to be connected).

Install video is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PUeMgSiRtQ
