Or perhaps TSLAQ picking a new target? Seem to be a fair number of hoary old anti-tesla memes in the article.

Sean Mitchell is pretty reputable, plus E for electric.

If true, I'm amazed that you can get to a $20 billion company from basically lies.

I've heard this rumour as well, I sort of had the inkling that nikola might be vapourware (but I was giving them the benefit of the doubt) right up until GM bought into them. Then I figured they must be legit. Now I don't know what to believe. Time will tell I guess

Not taking sides at all, but here is Nikola's rebuttal:

https://nikolamotor.com/press_releases/ ... -report-96

A short excerpt:
  • Nikola described this third-party video on the Company’s social media as “In Motion.” It was never described as “under its own propulsion” or “powertrain driven.
That seems like a long bow to draw, to me.

They didn't mention the 3.5 MW of solar panels that the founder has reportedly referred to. Those should be visible to the sun, and hence to Google Maps and to drones.

It will be interesting to see how this shakes out.

I hope Nikola is not vapourware. Just bought some shares. :?
I couldn’t care less about their ute, but I think they are going in a better direction than Tesla with their trucks.
A very heavy long haul truck powered by batteries only is crazy (at least until a great improvement in energy density).
Hydrogen seems more logical for this. Especially for big companies where they can justify refuelling stations at both ends.
Time will tell.
