Thanks David, I have fixed both of the things you mentioned. They were very valid points. The webpage that Google finds is from Nick King's SA Electric Vehicle site. We'll have to ask him to change the link from the 'calendar' to our new site. Eric.

Testing brake failure light
Basically, what they are looking for is that the brake light functions the same as it did before the vehicle was modified. This should be easy enough to organise a relay system to allow the lamp to light when the ignition switch is in the ON position and then off as you turn the key to START, then r...

Heater-- Demister
Be cautious with the eBay solid state relays... most of them are switching AC (even when the title says DC) and those that switch DC are only transistor output instead of MOSFET output (these must be really old stock). The transistor output variety will require much more heatsinking for the same out...

Hi,
I would be in for about 40 LFP 90Ah cells and November would be fine for me. Hey, we'll get the price even lower with these quantities.
Regards Eric.

Mike,
I would like to attend on the 6th August. I probably won't make it for the meal. Do I still have to book with Katie? Will there be any cost for the meeting?

If you modify a circuit breaker by drilling holes and using cables to it the authorities may think that the circuit breaker may not work as it should and not allow it.

Rodney, I have just listened to a lecture from an experienced Perm-132 motor user (Rod Muller - Goolwa SA) - and he no longer recommends this motor. Apparently the carbon from the brushes builds up inside the motor and then it cooks. I was going to use this motor as well. I am now going to use D&...
