i asked QLD transport department about this type of E-Trike about a year ago (was going to get one from china $3500 landed) and was told that there is no category for them to be registered under and they most likely wont meet the ADR's in QLD but i would put $ on that aus post gets them on the road ...

ok drive system best would be old wheelchair DC worm drive the hover board wheels are a no go as there is nowhere near enough power in them not to mention you are going to need at lest 2 drive wheels that are like 200mm to 300mm wide just to get enough traction(i know this because the 50mm wide ones...
