What EVSE to replace dead Origin/ChargePoint?

Oh, that is very sad. I did the exact same thing. Moorooka Nissan said I had to have it, so I paid the $2750. My CT500 started inconsistently making a loud humming / buzzing noise which was annoying (especially at 1am), so I bought another charger and moved the old one here http://api.plugshare.com/...

Nissan's 544km long range Nissan Leaf

I think they hinted that a 30 kWh battery would fit into the current shell of the 24 kWh as there had been improvements in the density (like the Chevy Volt 2).

Redflow batteries are most similar to the 7kW/h daily cycle powerwall model. They have about 5KW output, but hold 10kW/h ish of energy. Redflow batteries were installed in trial homes in Newcastle - Ausgrid Trial rolled a ZBM and an inverter into a unit and called it a R510. They were very successfu...

Driving Holden Volt in Hot and Humid conditions

At those speeds the volt will prefer blended mode (EV and generator). So it would be more like a Prius. Your petrol consumption will be lower, but not EV only.

At those speeds, you will be on the generator in about 50km. Then you will be using approximately 6.5l/100km at 100km/h.

I thought the powerwall was for people who already had solar? From the presentation I thought you would put it in between the panels and the inverter you already own. Then it slurps up the solar power instead of the inverter until it is full. After that it goes into pass through? It is there to decr...

Australia's first Electric Highway!

In South East Queensland we only have one public DC charger (second one is behind a fence and not accessible). So I rely on Level 2 chargers. OK if you are not in a rush In one day I travelled approximately 350km. 75KM Brisbane -> Gold Coast (Level 2) 80KM Gold Coast -> Tyagarah (Level 2 brick) 20KM...

Considering a Volt - What Do I Need To Know?

I have never seen an Official PlugIn Prius in Australia (seen retrofitted ones).
I didn't enjoy driving a normal Prius, so I bought a LEAF instead. The Volt was too expensive for my finances at the time.

Considering a Volt - What Do I Need To Know?

The Volt is an awesome hybrid (I prefer it over a prius). The petrol engine is configured as a generator (Full throttle using premium petrol) and it has the ability to switch between parallel and serial hybrid modes. The engine moves between specified rpm bands depending on the clutch configuration ...
