Hey Taffy,
Over two years would still be $20,000/year (or so), for a half-decent conversion.
That simply isn't the kind of money that I can spare when paying off a homeloan.
The lawnmower sounds like a cool idea, unfortunately we're getting a townhouse, so we won't have a lawn.

Just phoned them, they're out of everything due to the xmas sales.
They don't have a product brochure, website, or pamphlets.
(Although, they said they should have pamphlets in around two weeks. Anyone feel like popping round there in two weeks, then mailing me the pamphlets?).

Hi everyone, Being that the other half wants a house, there is little chance that I'm going to convert a car to electric. That said, I do want some form of electric vehicle. I've been thinking one of those scooters that you stand up on (probably because I have limited imagination). I would like some...

Geoff,
I'm right to show up early. Seeing I'm not back at work, I'll just be bumming around the rest of the day, waiting for dinner

ZEVA and Blade aren't exactly major manufacturers.
That said, the Holden response is nothing but a yawn-fest.
20%? Convert the thing to diesel, and you'll get that.

I'm looking for people who run standard iCalendar-based calendar software. (anything that can read a .ics file, really) I need people to test the following calendar, and let me know if they have any issues: http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/kanuaqu7j2rksojso0rkosn2m8%40group.calendar.google.com/pu...

Bas, I have to drive past your place on the way there anyway, and it'll only be a small detour on the way back, so you've got a lift, if you need one.

Woody, we did have some issues a couple of days ago after the install of a new router.
Port 25 (the one used for sending the emails) was unavailable for a number of hours.

Tuesday the sixth of January (06/01/2009) there will be food and chat at the Terrey Hills Tavern. This is a completely social event. There is no agenda, no subject matter, and no structure. Simply rock up, hang out, eat some food, and chat. (Warning: Chat subjects may contain non-EV related material...

At the end of the day, irrespective of their comments about EVs, TGA was the best car show that Australia has ever had, and I genuinely hope to see a second season of it. I have the painful memory of Glen Ridge and 'The Car Show', and TGA truely did a much better job. I can't understand why people a...

Alternatively, you can always trailer your EV in, if you can't get a week or two off work.

Mate, I'm so glad to hear that the work days helped you out. There are some really helpful people around here.
Again, apologies for not being there. Work doesn't take kindly to me not showing up.
I'll be looking forward to seeing this thing drive.

She doesn't update you every 20 kilometres that you need to keep driving straight? When I borrowed a satnav to do some driving in Melbourne, on the way down it kept reminding me to "Continue straight for 400 kilometers", updating me in 20 kilometer intervals. If it hadn't had an off button, I would ...

Welcome to the AEVA. We'd love to see you (and your bike) at our meetings, too.
Just out of interest, how difficult do you think it would be to build a bike with a range of around 120 kilometres?
Was there much room left for batteries after you were done?

Hey Phill,
Just bring the car along, and let any of the organisers know that you're in an EV, and they'll point you in the right direction.
