Fully Charged 2nd Gen - Nissan Leaf Norway

It's an each way bet if the Gen. II leafs come to OZ. My local dealers don't know and would REALLY like to sell me a 2012 built gen 1. Not sure if the $40k sticker price can be improved at all. It's been that price for 14 months... Heat pump, 6.6kw charging, remote charge flap etc. make the Gen. II ...

Meh.......I get both sides of the argument here. In other countries like to good ol' US of A they would likely get into strife...and thats because a lot of people have far too much time on their hands and like to sue. A small disclaimer in the bottom corner discreetly saying "example installation" o...

DC Fast charger roundup

Think it might be high time to compile a list of currently available DC fast chargers that are available worldwide that would be candidates for Perth's new electric highway and of course other states.. A battery buffered solution is likely the preferred option for some or all of the regional locatio...

They installed it the wrong way around ? Why doesn't the display face the car / carpark Thats a good point actually.... I gather they will only allocate 1 bay for the charger? Can't wait to try it. We will see how good Tritium's coding will be for Chademo compliance... http://forums.aeva.asn.au/smi...

synthetic transmission oil-educate me!

In a previous job a looked after a fleet of buses that were doing extreme duty urban running. The final drive transfer case normally had gear oil but overheating was a big issue. Replacing the gear oil with synthetic ATF improved temps and noise quite a bit with no noticeable breakdown from the gear...

New to the forum & new I-miev

Note that some of the 2010 I-Miev's don't have the pilot signal installed (as a retrofit by Gelco) and can use normal 15A sockets without EVSE. Mine isn't converted and at this stage it doesn't impede my usage. If anybody in Perth buys an I-Miev without pilot and requires it, I can assist with the f...

And how many km were travelled prior to the charge? When i started I had around 55% SOC. O used AC and kettle to bring it down to about 10% SOC then the car shut the AC and heating off. So used in gear and headlights to very gradually drop the SOC to 0% via Canion. The guess-o-meter was confused to...

Might have to sit tight and keep pestering MMAU for a response so they can clarify. The 2010's are unique in that they were all leased. I have in writing that the car has 5 year warranty from my delivery date, as I am the first true "owner", even though it's second hand. So in my mind everything is ...

So Ant have you got something in writing from MMAU that states that the warranty for the battery pack is for 80% after 5 years?. I was told 70% when I got my 2010 a few months back. I have just picked up a power mate 15A meter. This will give me a good indication of my battery capacity... http://i21...
