Yes steering is heavier with the Conti's. But after driving on mine for a month or so I really don't notice it now. In fact the steering weight is very similar to my old Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart. Feels good now. I have also changed my rears to Conti PremiumContact 2's. Slightly more noise but grip a...

But Tesla are using a bastardised version of Mennekes, running currents way higher than the manufacturer intended, using liquid cooling to compensate, and then internally switching and linking pins to allow fast DC. And then there's the protocol. Oh dear... The majority of households in Australia on...

Perth's limit is actually inverter size. In other states it is rated panel output mostly.

You can overdrive most inverters with extra panels. I did this with my system but can go further...

No noisier that the average open frame 3kva set such as Dunlite. Far bit more than a silenced inverter equivalent.

Didn't check the earth neutral connection. It was charging the Miev at around 2950W.

I wouldn't be happy running it at that sustained load......no.

50% duty for me if I get something.

No that's not correct. The Nissan plant in Sunderland started production in March 2013, and only ever produced the 2013 spec cars from the start. The AU cars came from Oppama in Japan and were built in 2012. I also gave Nissan AU a pasting on social media recently as they were promoting the EV200 va...

After picking up a 3KVA genset from a local supplier for my brother and setting it up, I thought a good test would be to connect my 2010 for a quick load check. Worked a charm with no mods whatsoever. Nice gradual load once connected too. Good stuff. May look at something like this but i need about ...

not possible to fast charge unless you import a Japan or Euro model You can't import vehicles from overseas unless you own them (and pay all road charges) for at least 12 months in another country. I think a Chedemo addon will be a viable aftermarket option for the PHEV but it will likely bust the ...

Here's a story from the Bunbury Mail.... and I quote.....
