Bamocar 3 phase motor controllers for sale: brand new

Hi everyone - advertising on behalf of the Melbourne Uni Formula SAE race team. (This is their first year of building an EV for the event!). Due to an ordering mix-up, they have ended up with four (instead of two) AC motor controllers. One option is to send them back, the other is to see if there is...

Anyone run their EV from home battery storage?

Thanks guys - Robyn will be happy to hear from you all! BTW: she works Mon-Thurs so won't reply now to you till Monday. Am definitely personally interested in the topic - plan to do EV charging from battery storage as soon as my premium solar feed-in tariff runs out. Not in a hurry though, that won'...

Anyone run their EV from home battery storage?

Hi all - have had a request from the editor of ReNew magazine as to whether I knew of anyone who uses home battery storage (either grid connect or off-grid) to charge their EV overnight with. I don't directly know of anyone - but seem to remember one or two members here do? If you are interested in ...

12 months rule/Blade Mk5 for sale: SOLD

Hi all - car now sold - and happy to say purchaser is having it repaired by slotting in a matching motor/controller. Happy - to get the garage space back but Sad - to see it go as it still drives very nicely, but at least pleased to see it being put back on the road where it belongs. Many thanks to ...

Last call - Blade EV in one piece: SOLD

Hi all - have had much more interest in my 2011 Blade as parts than in one piece - which surprises me as it would be a fantastic entry to the conversion field. All the hard work (including certification) has been done - just install your choice of controller, do whatever interesting tweaks you had i...

Key fob battery

How to change it is also in the owner manual. However there is usually a reminder on the dashboard for a while letting you know the key fob battery is getting low, so a sudden demise without that may mean a dead key fob.

12 months rule/Blade Mk5 for sale: SOLD

Hi all - am having a garage clean up and decided to apply the '12 months rule'. (If a project does not receive significant attention in 12 months, its not going to happen). So time for it to go!. For Sale: 2011, Mk5 Blade Electron, complete or as parts. Reason for sale: since acquiring a Leaf, have ...

AZD AC24LS motor & TIM 600: anyone tried it?

Hi all - has anyone here tried running an Azure Dynamics AC24 motor with a MES-DEA TIM600 controller? Am thinking it looks possible, but have concerns that the aC24's encoder may be hard to configure for a TIM600. (Seems my AZD controller is on it's way out & looking at options). Many thanks in adva...

Home Wall Chargers?

Several vertical 15A outlets - but none screwed, unless you go to pendent style. (eg Clipsal ss15). Re timer: have personally done a hardwired timer set-up using current rated parts - but you'd need an electrician to construct/install that. You could also get a Jetcharge outlet with the timer option...

Conversion Budget Question

Hi there - having done several conversions (including a couple of AC vehicles) - my vote is ............ for the money it costs to do a good conversion, buy a Leaf! Great all-round family car. And its cheaper than the conversion. And it's way quicker to do. (And guess what I drive now :) Cheers Bryce

Level 2 EVSE

Hi there - having recently fitted an EVSE (Jetcharge) - have found my Leaf estimates half the time it did with the brick for a charge. (I do hasten to add that the car's charging time estimates do seem to be slightly more accurate that the usage/km remaining estimate made by its guess-o-meter!!!). C...

I want an EV, but what?

How about getting hold of a broken down Blade then? I know of several that would not take too long to fix for someone with an engineering/technical background.
Otherwise - a second hand imiev. (The Vic EV trial Leafs have all gone).

Many thanks for that! Will have another go at booting it up to run CCShell. (Not today though - is already too hot for it to cooperate). NB: Mine works fine ... for a few minutes at a time that is. All I want is the fault codes - am hoping it is nothing more than one of the 4 internal thermistors it...

Looking for ccs file for 2010/2011 DMoC 445

Hi all - am wondering if anyone has a .ccs file for their 445 DMoC? Have finally got the computer to talk to my controller, but I don't have the specific ccs file for my 445 DMoC - and the 445 ccs I have hacked to try the trick of writing in the right build code won't work. Am presuming the ccs file...

I bought a ...... Leaf!

Thanks Chris - its a second-hand one. (One of the ex Vic EV trial cars). NB Getz range is perfectly good as is with it's current battery pack - but doing 130km on my first charge in the Leaf without even trying to be economical is definitely a bonus! Re Getz - just the controller is likely kaput. (W...
