Here is a pic of the first indstrial AC motor and drive combo , We took a 110v 3ph 2.2kw 4 pole Brook crompton motor and a 240v Omron drive back in 2003. What type of motor do you have ?
Are you trying to get more power or speed.

My road bike has a K91-4003 ADC motor its a 48-72v motor , I have been running this motor @ 144v for around 6 months now with no problems.

Controllers dont give the motor full volts untill full throtle.

The ratio of the bike in this test was 15 teeth on the motor and 32 on the wheel so 2.13-1 ratio, We are very happy with how Catavolt is going, at the salt we have ratio's as low as 1.6-1 so it will be interesting.
