Re: Nearly there (fuel efficiency)
I wonder if reclassing big SUVs as light commercial vehicles means they're now eligible for the long standing commercial vehicle fringe benefits tax exemption. That would truly be a perverse outcome.

Re: Syngery EV Vehicle Add On (Tarrfic)
Even with charging my cars at work instead of home for the most part, the time of use tarriffs with EV add on work out cheaper than flat rate. My average usage electricity cost for my last bill was $0.184/kWh inc GST 6.6kW of solar on 5kW inverter facing NE. If my solar was NW it would be way cheape...

Renault Zoe Parts
Hi All, I am parting out a Renault Zoe. All drivetrain related parts are spoken for, however, there are a number of body/panel parts available. Most parts are already removed but available (rear drivers side door, passenger door, seat belts, seats, etc). If there's anything in particular you're chas...

Re: Universal Road User Charge - Poll.
I wouldn't support a reduction in fuel excise until there's a price on Carbon. The Excise was originally brought in to discourage liquid fuel usage, not to pay for roads. I could get behind a RUC to reduce reliance on road funding on GST collections. Ideally that would see the elimination of the rem...

Hi All, I have a Kelly KLS14401-8080NPS sinusoidal 144V 400A motor controller setup for sin/cos encoder input for sale. Comes with matching water cooling plate. I was originally going to put it in a Vectrix, however, supply of vastly improved motor controllers thanks to the work of our European frie...

Re: FOR SALE - Rolec Charger not working
Hi Denby,
Is this still floating around?
I'm in Perth, and would like to have a crack at repairing it.
Are you looking to sell it as is, or more so looking to get it repaired?
cheers,

so there are two options, one is pzem-015 ( with display) and pzem-017 (without display, arduino or raspberry pi etc) both at same price= ~ 15 USD.. I did do some testing of cheap DC meters a couple of years ago (the pzem-015 is in the first post): https://forums.aeva.asn.au/viewtopic.php?p=92373 I...

Re: Weird Overnight Battery Discharge Axpert VM II Hybrid
Time to put an Ah counter on the battery. Either the inverter is pulling out a lot of energy over night, or the battery is end of life (despite it's calendar year age). what about a hydrometer? An Ah counter will tell you how much energy the battery delivers. A hydrometer will tell you how strong t...

Re: Novated Leases getting more EVs on the road
It is a shame that most people have to use a Novated lease to make use of the Fringe Benefit tax exemption. SGFleet is the nominated provider for my work. For an Atto 3 for 35k km year and 5 year term was $1400/month pre tax with a $13k residual at the end of the 5 years ($940/month after tax effect...

Re: Is BYD ‘consumption’ linear ?.
The assumed cumulative error may not be pessimistic enough, resulting in the SOC reported being higher than actual over time on some cars. I've been down to 5 % on my Atto, but I stayed pretty close to home. The solution is to adjust up the assumed off state (or 0 state) discharge, so that the SOC r...

Here's some pictures from my wreck: The drivers side door I was going to swap to my working Zoe, but the rest of the panels are fair game. The whole drive train including battery may end up in a conversion (possibly a bay window kombi) and the interior will likely end up in my working Zoe too. 36421...

Re: OCPP with leaf ZE1
An AC charger (which you're likely to find in a home setting) won't have any idea what SOC the car battery is. A DC Charger will have the ability to read the car battery SOC (as reported by the car) and OCPP 2.01 does have a comms field (in the NotifyEVCharingNeedsRequest JSON) for battery SOC and r...

Re: Wierd Overnight Battery Discharge Axpert VM II Hybrid
What is the inverter standby current? You mean idle power consumption.it is less than 35 watts. but it would not make a difference as utility is present whole night. have you verified the 35W idle consumption comes from the grid rather than the batteries? I'm sure inverters exist that draw from the...

Re: Recommendations for an on-board 3ph charger?
3 x TC Chargers (3.3kW for 11kW 3 phase or 6.6kW for 22kW 3 phase) in CAN would do what you need and allows you to physically spread the chargers around if space is at a premium. the TC chargers also support type 2 current limiting too (has to be ordered as an option, but only one of them needs it) ...

I'm using the ZJ Beny dual port chargers at work, in a similar situation (100kW solar, 200kWh BESS, 12 x charging bays with 100A 3 phase available to spread across all 12). The pump in France is 180 Euro just for the part, not sure what the Renault importer here would charge, but I suspect a margin on top of that. I could take one off the wreck if need be. But periodic replacement seems odd rather than reactive. There does appear to be a way to clear the error without ...
