A 10A/15A powerpoint should be able to handle a 10A/15A draw safely. Overloading it may cause it to overheat and fail. When you plugin a powerboard or double adaptor you still need to comply with the 10A/15A maximum draw. I view an unlocked powerpoint at a park to be much like a water tap. It is the...

To his credit Robert did not let his personal views interfere with this report. I found the ownership model very interesting. Overall a very informative clip as to what is possible with electrics.

12 months rule/Blade Mk5 for sale: SOLD

I had a similar problem with mine cutting out at random times. After the third controller did not cure the problem. Ross came out and we found that some of the battery hold down nuts were missing. This allowed movement which fractured the battery interconnect between the two rows of batteries at the...

Failed Charger

Thank you for the informantion. I plan on cable tying a fan to the charger with a temperature acitvated switch or a wall wart pluged into the 240V ac to keep it cooler. Adding an led to the circuit is probably all I need. Then again I have been driving a BEV for eight years now. Estimating how far a...

The new one is under warranty so I will leave it alone for now. If the BMS controls the 240V ac then its fine the way it is. I will live without the led working. Thank you for this information.

That's what the instruction sheet has them labelled as. To make the charger work you need to connect the enable wire to the 12V positive wire. It looks like I will not be able to get the filler port led to work then. Still hoping to be able to hookup the BMS to control the charger on off should a ce...

Failed Charger

Good news my charger is fixed. In the mean time I bought a new charger at a cost of $930.00. I now have a spare which should reduce down time next time. All working well. I do have a problem with the new charger. It does not have the seven pin round plug to easily connect to the BMS. It has three wi...

There is only one charger. There are 56 90Ah cells. I will count them again to be sure. Ordering one from China will be my last resort to a local fix. The charger has what I believe to be a CAN box attached to the charger via a seven pin plug. Is there an advantage to getting a charger without the C...

Hi, I have a Blade Electron Mark-V which has stopped charging. There is power at the AC power cable going to the charger but no LED's come on. Any one know where I could have it repaired/replaced or happen to have a replacement charger for sale? I am in Belmore Sydney. Thanks.

If I am correct there is a difference between float charge and proper two to three stage charging of lead acid batteries. The charger in the imiev would have to be a float charger. ie it takes the battery to a safe float voltage only. A proper charger will go past the float voltage which is usually ...

Is there any reason why I should not attempt to charge my Blade Electron at a Nissan dealer or other charging network with a j1772 plug? There are a number available now in Sydney I would like to be able to use if they are compatible.
