The closest I know of are:
Version 56.11 for Axpert VM III new twin
Version 56.97 for Axpert VM III new twin (older than the above)

FMG keen to run one of those on a minesite. It may not have gone near the coalface, so to speak. My guess it was for a manager to drive to and from the office in Perth. Or maybe an actual driver, some of those operate mining machinery remotely from an office. [ My assumptions were wrong, see next t...

Can I update the second firmware (MCU) mcu.hex via OTG USB or exclusively via the computer? Only by computer and RS-232 cable. The library code to access the USB port is in the display firmware, and when updating the display firmware, that's not available. I've updated the firmware upload instructi...

Re: Axpert VM III Twin 4kW (with 5kW PV support)
Hi Welcome to the forum. I update firmware to 60.05, factory firmware is 56.02 but twin (battery voltage) doesn't work Why?? I don't know why there is both a 56.xx series and a 60.xx series for these models, except perhaps that the 56.xx range is already badly overcrowded. Are you saying that 60.05...

That sounds fine; the bad part had over 10 000 pF of gate capacitance. My guess is that it will work.szaporv wrote: ↑Mon, 11 Mar 2024, 20:16The cies parameter is JT050N065WED 3435 pF, FGH75T65SHDT 3680 pF. I really found it among the recommended replacement transistors.

It's possible that the 6 and 8 models use different meanings for the various control board pins. And obviously, the 6 kVA hardware could see...

they are not all the same 2: are 550 watt, 2 are 400 watt panels and yes obviously I have connected them in series to achieve higher voltage so my open circuit voltages are 180v. The difference in panel specification may be confusing the simple solar charger algorithm, unless the panels' Imp are fa...

Re: PIP inverter repairs and hardware modifications
Thanks for your response! Will the fgh75t65shd instead of the jt050n065wed be good, or does something need to be modified in the driver circuit? As long as the gate capacitance isn't too high (there is a post about the limit available from the index), the voltage rating is 650 V or higher, and it's...

Re: Weird Overnight Battery Discharge Axpert VM II Hybrid
I looked up the charging curve in the manual and it said that T1(absorb state time)=10 * T0(bulk state time) But what if T0 takes 1 hour, then absorb time would be 10 hrs? That part with the 10x is a copy and paste laziness from a vastly different battery charger! So just ignore that part. These in...

Re: PIP inverter repairs and hardware modifications
You always replace top and bottom pairs, hence the 4 when only 3 appear mechanically damaged. As long as the others test OK on the bench (not shorted, free-wheel diode reads around 0.4 V), then it's OK to leave them.

Re: Weird Overnight Battery Discharge Axpert VM II Hybrid
I also sometimes saw that the voltage was 28.4V constantly for some time is that absorb state? I guess so. Maybe you have a cell that is collapsed to near zero volts, so with whatever current limit you have set, the voltage can't get past that value. Yet your fully charged voltage seems normal, so ...

Re: Modifying a 15 amp EVSE
There seems to be just one large surface mount chip near the Control Pilot area. Perhaps under the board are more components? Even it it's an op-amp chip, or surface mount transistors (nearly everything has been surface mount for the last many decades),it may still be possible to find one track, cu...

today in the morning the voltage was 24.3 :?: :| :? In the morning, before charging really gets started, the battery may still be discharging slightly (due to its self consumption). Re: Modifying a 15 amp EVSE
My idea is to disconnect the control pilot wire in the evse and feed the signal from my square wave generator on that wire instead. A ±12 V (24 V p-p) signal is awkward to generate. Besides that, there are problems, see below. First is what I am considering feasible? Yes, it's doable, but you'll ne...

Ah, yes of course; it will have remembered the float stage from last time. The battery has to drop below a certain voltage for it to go back to bulk charging. You should be able to tell from the charge LED. Sigh. I recall now that I was watching for the transition from flashing to solid of the char...

But I set utility max current to 10A and the total max charging current to 20 A.. Oh, I misread the settings, sorry. So now the threshold current should be 4 A, so a utility charge at 10 A should be fine. I don't know why it stopped near the float voltage. I said that without damaging the batteries...

I will..but I have seen 29.2volts remaining about for an hour I think on some days Yes, that's expected.
