Re: PIP-4048MS and PIP-5048MS inverters

One thing puzzles me: I calculate the pvPower from pvCurrent and pvVoltage, and log+chart that, as well as the SCCpower reading. Today I noticed that the calculated power is (approximately) twice as high as the SCC reading. PV power is pvCurrent multiplied by battery voltage, not PV voltage. The re...

it looks like it was just the charger and the MCU fuse replaced
So whatever the last problem was, it didn't result in a line item on the invoices. So maybe they just forgot to plug in some connector, or maybe it was a real short or open that they could fix with off-the-shelf consumables.

Whel, false alarm on my inverter problem.

Glad that's sorted.
What is the latest firmware i can use with my inverter? I'm on the 52.30 and 1.24SCC.
Same answer as for brucetheloon, you can run 73.00d, or if you're keen to beta test the very latest, 73.00e with KettleKomp™.

AGM battery problems

As a result I think you were mislead in a few points, i.e. the voltage never went down to 37v (and never has, I have the hard cutoff set to 42V as per battery datasheet recommendataion) Oh, my bad then, sorry. Still, 44 V, even though it's "allowed" according to the data sheet, is bad for life, and...

AGM battery problems

I'm a little worried my batteries are pretty shot... I have 4x12V/280Ah AGM in series, bought in December 2016. So that's nearly two years old; that's about what you get from lead acid that sees voltages like 44 V and even 37 V [ edit: 37 V was a misread, sorry], if these low voltages are a regular...

They're on the main board. I've not heard of nearly as much trouble with the Solar Charge Controllers as with the rest of the inverter-chargers.

I've got some imagery of the capacitor. I believe it reads 8000F, but it's a bit unclear, it could be 800uF. It can't be 8000 F, though I admit that at first, it does look like it in the photo.
