Interest rates are at record lows... inflation has crepted up slightly. Manufacturing cost are down. Tech has improved... what's the new budget conversion cost today?

Thanks for starting this informative thread. I'll be following with interest. I like the idea of direct drive due to simplicity...

I'm also interested in attending the meeting. I can't find details of when ,where and what time.

@brendon_m , congrats mate, I didn't realise you were in Perth. I'd love to see this in the flesh one day. I have aspirations in doing something to a similar platform.

Re: BMW i3 Rex wreck

6k for battery looks like a good bargain, so if you're only interested in the battery pack only ... I'm happy to take the car body for free to save you any hassles :D

Resurrecting an old thread, but it brought back some good memories when I was back at Uni designing and racing these FSAE race cars. I'm actually in one of the photos posted above in the background wearing yellow UWA Motorsport colours. I remember seeing the green RMIT car. 10+ years down the track,...

Hello from Perth

Hi there,

New to the forum.

Just wanting to learn with the hope to dream of building an electric car.

Then maybe one day build one

I've noticed that even though I've registered, my account is quite restricted. I can't search or view pictures attached to post...

Cheers,
Fred
