Re: MPP SOLAR PIP-7248MAX
I was on firmware 45.01 and had all kind of weird bugs, but since I flashed 45.04 and display 12.03 the Max is behaving a lot better. I didn't try the 90.xx series yet. Any of you did? Not me, but a user on the Powerforum has, with some success. See this post and several after it. I suspect that th...

Re: MPP SOLAR PIP-7248MAX
Hello, Do you mean they got Voltronic to patch to firmeware to get their LiFe4po batteries BMS handle by the inverter ? Yes, that's correct. Curious, they just answer to me no bms support for their batteries on their voltronic inveter. He told me the wall version of this battery has bms comm...

@weber PIP-5048MGX = Axpert MKS III
See solarpower24.it
And don't forget PIP-8048MAX
The MAX series are very much like the MGX.
They both have the new feature to program timer settings for Output Source Priority and Charger Source Priority

@MJS-1 I saw your post about error #69 on the MK. My friend has 69 also appear. Did you have any good results in trying out the different firmwares? What is #69 exactly saying? the manual shows: "If battery status is not allowed to charge after the communication between the inverter and battery is ...

Hmm, interesting, as there were updates addressing the #08 error. But as I understand you were not notified about that?
Well, I already ordered the Max and it will arrive Wednesday.
We can compare the firmware versions.

Re: PIP-5048MG Batteryless operation
I have used the MG long term batteryless in both off-grid and on-grid situations.
It works fine.
I did not measure though if there was any grid feedback with the on-grid setup, so I cannot answer that....

Re: MPP SOLAR PIP-7248MAX
I ordered one myself. It will arrive in a few days.
My previous one was also a 5048MG.
I am curious how this new one will be.
I found on this Spanish forum someone who took it apart and reviewed it:
here
I understand it can be quite noisy....

Re: Solar panels in series / parallel
I've had 3 x 9 of 220Wp panels = 5940 Wp connected to my 5048MG from the beginning, both with and without batteries connected, and never had any issues. Your panels might be less than 6A Imp, meaning 3 strings won't exceed 18A. It seems to be the 18A figure that is the main problem. They are 60 cel...

Re: PIP5048MG: 3Phase Configuration: Fault 08 and anomalies.
A friend of mine with a single MG has the #8 fault too. She confirmed it happens at night. This setup is batteryless with solar and util connected. My plan was to swap her MG (71.40) for mine (71.71), and see if it also happens with my MG on her setup (it doesn't on my setup). I'll double check her ...

I've got the MPPSolar 5048MG (@71.40) so I guess can flash this Axpert MKS...

Re: PIP-5048MK inverter
Another consideration for you re MS vs MK vs GK is that they all come with the premature-float bugs . We have patched MS and MK (soon to be released) but not the GK, to fix those bugs. In that case my best option will be the MK and then use your to be released patch! Just to be absolutely clear: I ...

Re: PIP-5048MK inverter
You say you wouldn't recommend the GK. In the same way you wouldn't recommend the MG? That's correct. I've got my MG wired with a spd on the panel side and a RCCB type B on the AC side and that seems fine. What do you think? I think many people would be very grateful, if you (or your electrician if...
