Re: Chinese DC-DC converter

Well yes Chris, it should be zero leakage as far as Im concerned, but I just wanted assurance that it complied with NCOP14 which stipulates less than 20mA

Re: Battery Box building

I'll be making some battery boxes soon too. Both these fuel tanks will be replaced with boxes that hold 12 x CALB 180 cells , and I'll need another box holding 21 cells under the bonnet . Constructing a box & lid is one thing, but I assumed the cells all need to be clamped down somehow, this is the ...

Re: Arduino BMS with unlimited everything

Yes, I am interested in your Arduino BMS . Late reply because I only just started construction of my EV. I don't necessarily agree that Arduino are just for one off designs and proof of concept, Yes it is good to get Coders into electronics , but it does not stop there. A mate and I build a Much bet...

Re: Chinese DC-DC converter

Heres the same one in a different listing. It does say 'isolated' on the label of the one that I purchased , but this one has it in the actual heading , and on the label of the converter. https://wholesaler.alibaba.com/product-detail/waterproof-Isolated-144v-to-12v-50A_60641096583.html I think even ...

Re: Chinese DC-DC converter

OK thanks, where would I find the Australian requirements, other than NCOP14 ?

I cant find anything in there about isolation where it mentions auxilliary ELV , obviosly when I turn the car off the DC-DC converter will be isolated by a seperate relay , or am I missing something. ?

If you are talking about http://clementsxcreek.com.au

I think they have missed the boat . A couple of "old school" converted Suzuki LJ's with Optima batteries & fold out PV Arrays crossed the Simpson a few weeks ago .

Chinese DC-DC converter

Anybody used one of these, cant find any info on them, the fact that its fully sealed appeals to me, I just placed an order for my EV LandRover conversion , cheap enough & 50Amps is plenty as the ICE Alternator was only 35Amp :) https://wholesaler.alibaba.com/product-detail/144v-to-12v-600w-waterpro...
