Re: Renault EVs now available in Oz

Went and visited a Renault dealership in Sydney today to talk about the new EV range and the gentleman wasn't too across this. It is obviously very new and early days so I'm not surprised. Has anyone done a test drive yet? Would be great to hear some feedback.

Re: 2018 Nissan Leaf!

It looks like a nice car...not going to set the world on fire with those looks, but a solid city car. Would like to see a bit more edge in the design through to make them more desirable.

Renault EVs

I have been told Renault are closely evaluation the EV market in Australia again. I wouldn't be surprised to see them introduce the Kangoo and/or Zoe to our market in the next few years. Hopefully with the push by Tesla, Hyundai, Nissan and BMW this will force their hand. I strongly believe the Rena...

Nice little car...took it for a test drive this week. Really do hope Audi make a better push into the EV space though, they seem to be lagging behind BMW & Merc.

BMW 330e Pluginhybrid

We had a test drive in the 330e and the X5 recently and have to say they are both fantastic cars. The usual high quality BMW performance and finish quality, combined with some cool battery technology. I really think that the PHEV will be a great stepping stone for many people towards full EV's. At on...

They would potentially be cannibalising a large chunk of revenue with regards to service, parts and repairs given the decreased need with EV's.

Looking at the exterior and interior on a few videos assuming there is only one or two trim levels and the EV's typically get a similar trim level to the high spec oil burners. Whats the price of the top spec I30 oil burner? Quick scan online shows starting a base model starts at $19k up to $32K fo...

i think Hyundai generally has come along way from the days of the Excel with regards to build quality and reliability. I am really excited for this one to arrive on our shores as i firmly believe it will start bringing EV's into the mainstream. Any guesses on price point? Lower than the LEAF like th...

In the U.S the Hyundai Ioniq (and the other variants of the model as well) are sold with a lifetime battery-failure warranty included in price. The battery pack is warrantied against complete failure for as long as the car remains in service, not that there’s a lifetime warranty for capacity degrada...

The full Hyundai Ioniq range headed down under

Hyundai have announced that all three variants of their Ioniq (Hybrid, Plug in, BEV ) will all be coming to Australia in late 2017. In the US the Hyundai Ioniq is priced lower than the Nissan Leaf. Any thoughts on where Australia. Pricing will be for the pure electric? $40,000 perhaps? This is a cle...

Renault Kangoo Z.E. test drive - 7 & 8 October

Hi g4qber, Any updates about the Renault EV situation in Aus? The Zoe would be a great little run about for city commuters.
