Re: CCS 1 BMW i3's
Hi Padi, Before locking I measured 0.0 ohms and 5Vdc. About 20 seconds after locking I measured 10 Mohm(open circuit) and 0.0Vdc. With Type 2, locking the doors is used when AC charging. The car will not AC charge with doors unlocked initially. And if you unlock the doors during charging AC charging...

Re: CCS 1 BMW i3's
Hi Papi, I managed to do it using a CCS2 charge port from eBay which included the cables. This might be your root cause of your Esys coding issues not using the required cables and plugs. You can see this at this link https://www.facebook.com/groups/BMWi3/permalink/6599353680138437/?mibextid=W9rl1R ...

There is every chance that the Greens may block weak action on climate change legislation in the senate and ask for improvements. Just like the Greens did with the Emissions Trading Scheme under Kevin Rudd. The Greens and Independents have a mandate for real action on Climate Change. The climate war...

Re: NSW to ban dealers from selling used vehicles online
I bought my BMW i3 online just to avoid dealing with a used car dealer. Avoided buying all the BS extras I don’t need. I got the dealer to deliver the car to my home. Later I found out I could have used a car broker that does the car searching and dealing to get the best price Well below asking pric...

I am stuck with the coding of CCS2 port. Can you kindly send the required coding steps. Many thanks! Here is a picture of the coding required to code the LIM ECU. You can google on how to use E-sys. CCS1 to CCS2 cables are getting cheaper. Just saying there is a cheaper option. AU$637.66 on AliExpress. About half the price they used to be.

Re: PIP-4048MS and PIP-5048MS inverters
I just upgraded my old PIP4048MS (purchased September 2015) with a Victron Energy MultiPlus II Inverter Charger 48 5000 70-50 IP21. The SCC in my PIP4048MS smoked itself about a year ago and MppSolar will not supply me with a new SCC as the inverter is too old. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Victron-En...

I have been waiting for about a year for a new SCC board (my old one has a heat sink) which blew up from mppsolar in Taiwan. Sounds like the SCC boards are having a high failure rate.

So just making sure I'm getting this right. If BMW were to swap out my existing DC fast charging port (CCS type 1) to their new CCS type 2, I wouldn't be able to use some of the tesla destination chargers? I do not work for BMW but that does seem to be the case. Please let us know if and how much B...

Re: PIP-4048MS and PIP-5048MS inverters
Today the SCC stopped working on my PIP4048MS. The remainder of the PIP still works. A couple of PCB mounted relays were fubar which dropped off the PCB. According to my data logging the PV value was at 3kw when it happened. Any idea WTF happened? Anyhow I removed the remains of the SCC and cleaned ...

I have an adapter. So swapping the charge port to type 2 would be a waste of money for me. Unless I can upgrade from 7.4kW to 22kW.

Do you know whether the KLE will support the two extra phases? Do you think it might require Esys coding to go from J1772 to Mennekes? Good luck. Let us know how you go as I am also interested in doing this. The only down side is that the Mennekes on the new BMW i3 2018 will not work with the Tesla ...
