Re: Syngery EV Vehicle Add On (Tarrfic)

In my most recent Synergy bill dated 16 Feb 2024 I was paying for "Residential Anytime consumption" and the rate was 28.0109 cents per kWh

Re: Forum Look and Feel

I wonder what version of phpBB we're running? Is it the latest? Separatley, I see that it's possible to use different board styles to customise the look and feel. What do you think about re-skinning the forums for a refresh? :) The Forum is currently three minor upgrades shy of the latest version o...

I received the following email from bje and thought it is best discussed within the forum: Hi Rob I wonder what version of phpBB we're running? Is it the latest? Time for a NT Branch sub-forum?

I received the following email yesterday from @bje:
Hi all

I see that the NT branch has started up. Can I suggest we create a new
"AEVA NT Branch" forum on forums.aeva.asn.au?

Cheers,
Ben

I have an OBDLink, but it's WiFi, not bluetooth and I'm way down in Waikiki so probably not much help.

Feel free to PM/email if that might help you though.

Re: EV Kei truck - vx-se

I would be inclined to check with one of the Australian importers of Japanese Vehicles. Following your link above, the reason given for the vehicle being "out of Australian Regulation" doesn't ring true to me. They say it has to be more than 20 YO, or a collector's car. I am aware of EVs m...

Re: 63 kWh battery upgrade 2013 Leaf AZE0

In the age of Online Scams it is important to approach every apparent "good deal" with a healthy dose of scepticism. However, I think it is worth pointing out for those that may not be aware that Andrew was the founder and original administrator of this forum. In fact he ran the forum on a...

I am posting this on behalf of user Yoshy who tried to contact zeva directly but of course didn't have permission as he'd not posted anything to the forum yet. Ian’s website refers to your forum for any queries relating to ZEVA equipment for past customers. I have a BMS12i and have a programming iss...

Re: Unable to post in WA branch

Hi again Will, I have just removed you from the AEVA Members group and then added you back in, all using the phpBB Admin interface. In theory this should reset your group-related permissions correctly. When I assumed your permissions (as an Admin is able to do) I was able to create a new post in the...

Re: Unable to post in WA branch

Thanks for looking into this @rhills. Same issues still I am afraid. Perhaps it would be easier if I just create a separate account for posting in the WA forum. Until we figure out what's wrong with the permissions in your current account, you are likely to have the same problem with your new accou...

Re: 15amp charging

I should mention too that for LFP batteries it is recommended NOT to charge to 100% routinely. It IS recommended to top up to 100% occasionally to help balance the cells in the battery. I set my M3 Dual Motor to charge to 80% routinely and only top up to 100% if I am going on a longer journey. The r...

Finally I checked the log of the Membership Management program and it did indeed pick him up and give him AEVA Membership ...

Hmmm, I'll need to look at the code that manages the links between the AEVA Membership system and the Forum members. It shouldn't be doing a case-sensitive comparison but it might be!

By funny coincidence we were in Hedland last week in our motorhome (very much not an EV... yet ) and had a problem with one of our wheel speed sensors. We found Iron Port Mechanical who provided us with exemplary service. I think they'd be worth approaching, they seemed to be a pretty versatile bunc...

I saw someone recommended going with a Victron inverter for such off-grid requirement. ..... I'm not going to repeat the rest of what antiqueweb said because, given this was their first post and it was an unusual twist to the main topic, I suspect they're reverse-spamming, ie trashing a competitor'...

Re: Glass roof in Australian conditions?

I have a M3 which also has a glass roof. I found the tinting reasonably effective but have invested in some shades that fit inside the roof. With these I find that no more heat gets into the cabin than that which you feel from a hot metal roof in any other vehicle. The shades are readily available, ...

Re: Wind generator for suburban site

I've had various different wind turbines on my yacht for over a decade. The power system on my yacht is 300Ah of Lithium house batteries and a separate starter battery. The wind turbine makes a useful addition to the charging sources in this situation but that's because there's very little room for ...

I assume you (or someone) has checked the 12V battery?

There have been issues over the years with iMIEV cars failing to charge because of a faulty 12V battery. The same problem might ail the van?

Hmmmm, I work in Mandurah and it could be charged overnight in the garage there. But the jump from there to Bunbury is just a little too big for that 70km range! Of course there's DC charging in Mandurah too but it's still a bit of a jump to the next charger from there I think. I have a towbar on my...
