ICED education flyer
I like the politeness of it. Thanking the ICEr for their interest in EVs is a clever way to diffuse a potential conflict. It's a little too wordy for my liking though, but that's no big deal.

That doesn't surprise me coming from a ute owner in Shell Harbour. It comforts me to know that when fuel prices go up we'll be the ones getting the last laugh.

I saw the photo you put up on Plugshare. Was the car park full or was the Prado owner being a jerk?

Nissan leaf 2g/3g switch
Not for me and not for a few other owners I know. Some try to get their dealers to fix it and I've tried contacting Nissan customer support with no response. I think at least one person was able to get their dealer to fix it after the service but he's not sure if it was just luck.

A few owners of the Ozleaf forum (myself included) had a problem with the upgrade only partially working. It can update charging stations and download RSS feeds but you couldn't remotely control the climate control or charging. Best to check the app works when you collect your car so you can make su...

When I added the entry on my phone and edited it shortly after, it ended up creating two entries, one of them without a photo. I've reported it to Plugshare, not sure if it's fixed yet. This one should have a photo: https://api.plugshare.com/view/location/103640 It felt like such a waste to see so m...

I'm now at Wollongong and the UoW Veefil is giving an error 39 and saying the plugs aren't available. If there are any tricks to resetting it I'll be in the area the next few hours.

Concern: 'New 2012' in 2016
If the dealer is shady and knows what they're doing they can reset the BMS to show full capacity for a few weeks until it relearns its true capacity. Some used car buyers in the US fell victim to that. There have been two or three Australian owners on Facebook and the owners forum who lost their fir...

They should put the barricade around the EV parking spot so it can't be ICEd. Can't let them win if it's anti-EV sentiment.

Would he get into any trouble with HQ for criticising something that would benefit one of their products? Not that Nissan Australia seems to make any effort in promoting the LEAF.

Have you got all of the places to charge planned? A LEAF owner made the trip down and back from Beaudesert. The trip took him about a week while visiting friends and family along the way. He mapped the places he charged on Plugshare. Good luck with your adventure!

It's going to take something like nine hours to get there if charging from wall outlets along the way. I might consider it if faster charging opportunities come up before the event.

MY15 Nissan Leaf updates
2010-2012 models are gen 1, 2013 to present are gen 2. There are significant changes internally even though they look the same on the outside. Besides the rumoured 30kW battery upgrade I'm unsure of what other changes are planned for the next LEAF update. I just hope the 30kW battery will be backwar...

Did he get his generations mixed up? They're still selling gen 1 here and gen 3 won't be out for at least another year. Makes sense they won't bring the gen 2 till the 1 is sold out.
