Victorian Electric Vehicle Trial - DRIVE an imiev

I have tested both the imiev & the nissan leaf. And like all the comments posted so far the nissan leaf was by far the better car. Was REALLY impressed.

unbelievable. . I know they were looking for households with green power. So that excluded me. Yet i have a power outlets in the driveway already but they are for the electric gate. But these could also be used for EV charging.

I have a Audi A4 1.8 Turbo that i bought fresh water damaged in sydney. I had it transported down to melbourne and got it running last year after about 3 months of work and on the road in 5 months. i thought this would be a good way to get a newish 2nd hand car cheap and to learn all about it by fix...

Thanks for all the great advice. Looks like the consensus is to go without the gearbox. This method sounds the simplest but more costly which is ok as the most simplest method always wins out for reliability. Please correct me if i am wrong here. Sounds like i will need the cafe electric z2k control...
