Re: 2011 nissan leaf

Aren't they exchange? Nissan has to make money somehow and a couple grand for a 24+kwh seems too cheap to be making a profit if it's filled with new cells. So I'd say they are probably 2nd hand cells that have been tested or Nissan are selling the exchange cells for a mint. Also I thought they had ...

that charger wont work with the packs built in BMS's, so you will have no balancing

and if you just use the BMS's that are built in to the packs then you will need 10 smaller chargers

Re: Preparing the grid for EVs

One of my jobs is trying to prepare our businesses for the increase in electric vehicle volumes by making sure enough energy can be carried along the grid to supply them all. Without these preparations, I fear that we may slow down EV growth rather than enable it. a good start would be stop pulling...

Re: which power specification is correct?

so its a overunity device takes ~7.7677Amps from the wall (~7.7677Amps * 240VAC = 2.5HP) then outputs 6kW of cooling from the said ~7.7677Amps so that is a ~322% increase in power over what is put in it from the wall and so on that math you should be able to string them together and make positive po...

Re: which power specification is correct?

my point was
how can a 6kW airco have 2.5HP and only draw 15 amps

when
2.5HP = ~1.86kW / 240VAC = ~7.7677Amps
6kW /240VAC = 25Amps
15Amps * 240VAC = 3.6kW

none of those amounts come close to matching

which power specification is correct?

the Specs say

2.5HP
6kW
15Amps

that cant work can it?

2.5HP = ~1.86kW / 240VAC = ~7.7677Amps
6kW /240VAC = 25Amps
15Amps * 240VAC = 3.6kW

I'm trying to picture where there is enough room in the engine bay for the motor to fit where the flywheel and clutch originally was, can't wait to see a photo of it in position.

T1 Terry
hmm i think you may be right there isnt much room at that end of the "motor"
