That's what I had in mind - thanks Mike. I assume all this does is allows the charge point contactor to close and commence charging, but has no means to change the power output of the charger? Which is an acceptable compromise IMO.

I have some lower current HV connectors and 4 m of cable which can come directly from the battery pack. I just figured if I'm going to be putting a contactor in series with the charging leads, I might as well use the same one as the discharging leads. Anyway, the charger is the size of a small brief...

Yeah, the AC and DC/DC converter can be 'enabled' via a low voltage signal, so once their caps are charged there shouldn't be any significant energy consumption outside of the need to charge the 12 V auxiliary battery.

Sorry I meant putting a resistor across the contactors of the AC and DC/DC converter, while leaving the master contactor as is. I will draw another diagram...

I could probably leave a resistor across the contactor since the master contactor will be open whenever the vehicle is vacant.

Aluminium and copper will corrode quite quickly, so a pourable compound would be ideal. The stuff I have will pour slowly, but you can also fill a 50 ml syringe and force it into nooks and crannies.
