hmm... thats weird because I heard of a racer who has around 600lb-ft of torque and 100hp, in which he destroys Corvettes, BMW M3's, Maserati's, etc.   His name is John "Plasma Boy" Wayland. He drives an EV converted 70's Datsun.

Now thats a great idea. Thank you Richo and Electrocycle. My dad had recommended that I start off making my own toy EV and work my way up to a real vehicle.   Is this a good idea?

I also think that an EV only racing association is a good idea. It'll offer a lot of incentive to join when everyone else with their gas-powered cars see how well these EV's accelerate due to their tremendous torque, that's why I want to make my own EV too.

I am just curious people, do anyone know of any EV's with an AWD drivetrain?   It'll be interesting to know. If you have, please post some links to some videos or pictures, or just post the pictures and videos here. Thank you.

I wish Ford would your idea of selling an EV Focus. But they're too greedy for that. Even here in America, they don't sell us that late model Focus featured in Jay Leno's challenge.
