The purpose of this threat is to establish a network of contacts interested in establishing an Battery Electric race format in Melbourne. The competition should be open to all members of the public, schools and universities.

The intent would be for interested parties to work together to start up a race event or even a demonstration optimistically by september 2008. A little ambitious however you have to start somewhere.

Currently the EVChallenge is held in WA and I would like to seek interested parties in setting up a simialr event in Melbourne.

The aim would be to keep CAMS in the loop so that whatever format they come up with the Melbourne competition is as closely aligned as possible so that little to no rework will be required.

Kindest Regards Stuart Richards

Finally CAMS have officially published their press release on the AEC.

Please refer to the link below if you want to read on.

There is a great opportunity for a group of motivated people to get a national electrathon competition started in Australia.

If you are interested in being involved please do not hesitate to contact me.

Clay and myself have been drafting up some guidelines based and should be able to release a draft copy in the next fortnight for feedback.

Kindest Regards Stuart Richards
